We are looking forward to seeing you in service soon. Answers to some common questions and Biblical explanations for worship and ministry:

“Then some Levites....Stood Up and praised the Lord....with a very loud voice.” (II Chron. 20:19)

“After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people, and language, Standing before the throne and in front of the lamb....And they cried out in a loud voice: ‘Salvation belongs to God’.” (Rev. 7:9-10)

WHY DO WE CLAP OUR HANDS?

“Clap Your Hands, all you nations shout unto God with cries of joy.” (Ps. 47:1)

WHY DO WE LIFT OUR HANDS?

“I will praise you as long as I live and in your name I will Lift Up My Hands.” (Ps. 63:4)
“Lift Up Your Hands in the sanctuary and praise the Lord.” (Ps. 134:2)
“I want men everywhere to Lift Up Holy Hands in prayer, without anger or disputing.” (I Tim. 2:8)

WHY DO WE HAVE AUDIBLE PRAISE?

Praise The Lord, O my soul, all my inmost being, praise His holy name.” (Ps. 103:1)

“After this I heard What Sounded Like A Roar of Great Multitude in heaven shouting: ‘Hallelujah’.…Then I Heard What Sounded Like a Great Multitude, like loud peals of thunder, saying: ‘Praise our God, all you His servants, you who fear Him both small and great’.” (Rev. 19:1,6)

WHY DO WE SING IN TONGUES AND IN ENGLISH?

“For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful....I will Sing With My Spirit, but I will also Sing With My Mind.” (I Cor. 14:14-15)

WHY DO WE HAVE THIS TYPE OF WORSHIP?

“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshippers will worship the Father In Spirit and In Truth, for they are the kind of worshippers the Father seeks. God is a spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him In Spirit and Truth.” (John 4:23-24)

“For we are the circumcision, we Worship God In The Spirit and rejoice in Christ Jesus and have no confidence in the flesh.” (Phil. 3:3)

WHY DO WE SING CHORUSES AS WELL AS HYMNS?

“….be filled with the Spirit. Speak to one another with Psalms, Hymns, and Spiritual Songs.” (Eph. 5:18-19)

“Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all
wisdom and as you sing Psalms, Hymns, and Spiritual Songs with gratitude in your
hearts to God.” (Col. 3:16)

WHY DO WE PROPHESY?

“Follow the way of love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the Gift of Prophecy.” (I Cor. 14:1)

“Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good… to another Prophecy...”
(I Cor. 17:7, 10)

WHAT IS PROPHECY?

“But everyone who prophesies speaks to men for their strengthening, encouragement, and comfort.”
(I Cor. 14:3)

WHY DO WE HAVE SPEAKING WITH TONGUES AND INTERPRETATION OF THOSE TONGUES IN THE CHURCH?

“Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good….to another the ability to Speak In Different Kinds Of Tongues and to still another The Interpretation of Tongues.” (I Cor. 12:7-10)

“I would like everyone of you to Speak In Tongues, but I would rather have you prophesy. He who prophesies is greater than he who Speaks in Tongues, except He Who Interprets, so that the church may be edified.” (I Cor. 14:5)

“If anyone speaks In A Tongue, two or at the most three should speak, one at a time and someone must Interpret.”
(I Cor. 14:27)

WHY ARE MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS A PART OF THE WORSHIP SERVICE?

“And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of rushing waters and like a loud peal of thunder. The sound I heard was like that of Harpists Playing Harps.” (Rev. 14:2)

WHY DOES THE WHOLE CHURCH PRAY AT ONE TIME FOR SPECIFIC NEEDS?

“And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice with One Accord and said, ‘Lord, Thou art God, which hast made heaven and earth’….” (Acts 4:24)
