We love kids at DestinyFamilyChurch! We believe each child has a special destiny in store for them and we want to do all we can to nurture and guide them so that destiny will be fulfilled in their lives. Sandi French along with several other highly skilled children- ministers lead Destiny Kids ministry, which is for infants to fifth graders.
We are thankful that the ChannahonPark district has allowed us to meet at Skateland and we are grateful that God has opened the door for us to have a place to worship, but we realize it is definitely temporary. As we trust God for growth we know that He will provide for us facilities that with all the amenities our kids deserve. Until that time we have confidence that having a curriculum created with their special age group in mind will more than make up for any present limitations. A Place To Be Taken By God
In addition to Destiny Kids ministry, we also desire to have an experience designed just for Junior High students during the weekend, while our high school students will meet during the week for a night of worship and fun. We need people with a passion for youth to come and join our team. Maybe you are one the key players that will help make this dream a success!
A scripture in the Bible, Hebrews 11:5: a-b tells us, “By faith Enoch was taken up so that he should not see death; and he was not found because God took him up…” To be taken by God doesn’t mean we just vanish or suddenly leave the world. It means that when His hand is upon our lives and when He is at work inside of us that He takes our life higher…in the direction that He has planned. It means that even if negative experiences come against us like in the life of Joseph, that they cannot ultimately harm us or stop us from fulfilling our destiny. Joseph was taken by God and because he was taken by God no other circumstance could take him. No matter what he went through he was preserved by God for greater things. This is the vision that we have for our junior high and high school students: that they will be a Generation Taken!
A Place To Connect And Grow
Family Nights are small groups and are an integral part of DestinyFamilyChurch. We realize that when people come to church they want to be part of a community. By meeting during the week with our small groups we connect relationally and grow together as we journey together with God.
A Place To Encounter The Presence Of God
One of the most important things in a person’s life is to encounter the presence of God on a consistent basis. The Bible teaches that we walk by faith and not sight or feelings. Jesus promised that He would never leave us whether we feel God’s presence or not, but the faith we learn to live by will inevitably cause us to sense and experience His presence in different ways. That’s why spending time in worship and ministering to the Lord is a huge part of who we are. Encountering His presence happens most often when we take time to really worship and adore Him for just who He is and for what He has done for us. Learning how to truly worship is so important because it’s about giving to God what He wants not just going to Him for our needs. Then amazing things will happen! Miracles, healings, provisions, and breakthroughs take place. At DestinyFamilyChurch Sunday mornings are always worship-focused along with the teaching of God’s word, but because of limited time we also provide breakthrough nights periodically. Breakthrough nights are special times of intense worship when we find our selves not just worshipping, but also ministering to God. This means the deep things in His heart are revealed to us and we become part of fulfilling His desires. Just think, you can to have an incredibly close relationship with God on that level. What an amazing thought!
A Place To Serve And Contribute
One of the most satisfying things in life is to be able to serve. The Bible says in the book of Ephesians that all believers are to be equipped for the ministry of helps so that the Body could function with great success (Ephesians 4:11-12).
We at Destiny Family are passionate to see that each member is trained, equipped and functioning in their God-given gift! As a new church in the community you can imagine all the different areas that you’ll have an opportunity to use your God given gifts and talents in. Whether you play an instrument, like to sing, or have a heart to work in the children’s or youth ministry there is a place waiting for you to grow into. We are always looking for people that can be sound board technicians, be involved in drama ministry, and reach out to the lost and hurting in our community. There are opportunities to be involved in hospitality, ushering and greeting. We would love to have people that will minister to the senior citizen homes and visit hospitals. Whatever your area of expertise is we welcome you to be part of our team, be trained and be released to serve the Lord in His House!
